Welcome to Bokim Ministries
Bokim Ministries is a teaching and discipleship ministry. Our focus is on teaching students how to study scripture, how to reason, and how to test doctrines. Our goal is to see as many people as possible come to faith in God, to salvation through the atoning sacrifice of Messiah, and to spiritual maturity through personal knowledge and growth.
The Gospel of Christ
God created the universe, and He rules over His creation. God gave His instructions for our benefit, and they are not too difficult or burdensome.
Breaking God’s Law is Lawlessness, or sin, and it carries a death penalty. Because God loves us, He made a way for us to be pardoned.
Jesus is the son of God, who sacrificed himself in our place to satisfy the penalty of God’s Law. Through faith in Jesus, we can receive God’s pardon.

Bible Study
Studying the Bible is essential for understanding God, His instructions for our lives, and how our relationship with Him is restored.
Because the Bible is a complex text, translated from multiple ancient cultural writings, we must approach it with a solid study method. We must consider the language of the Bible and its context. We must exercise valid reasoning to understand and apply what we read. And, we must test our interpretations to prove them true or false.

Poetry
Ancient Israel had a rich culture of poetry and music. Much of the Bible was written in poetic form. Songs of praise, songs of remembrance, prayers to God, and historical narratives were captured in poetry. Through song we worship our creator; through verse we memorize His instructions for our lives and pass it to the next generation.
