Bokim Ministries’ method of Bible Study consists of four components: Language, Context, Reasoning, and Testing. Each component builds upon one another and is designed to give students a complete approach to understanding scripture. The four components of study are defined as follows:
Language
- Returning to the original language texts of scripture
- Understanding translation and transliteration
- Understanding grammar, literary devices, and other components of written language
Context
- Understanding context
- Reading and studying in context
- Fallacies of reading out of context
Reasoning
- Structuring logically valid arguments
- Recognizing logical fallacies
Testing
- Testing the soundness of arguments
- Understanding how scripture relates to other scripture
- Addressing apparent discrepancies in scripture
- Testing ideas and doctrines against the standard of scripture
