The Emptiness of Godlessness

Spirit of Melancholy
The spirit of melancholy is an overwhelming depression felt when our relationship with God is severed.

Life apart from God is meaningless. Separated from God, we can often experience emptiness, sadness, and unfulfillment. Spiritually, there is a hole in our lives that we long to fill. Too often, we turn to vices and pleasures to fill up the spiritual hole; however, this never works in the long run.

To fill the spiritual hole in our lives, we must address the root cause of the problem. If life seems meaningless, the cause is separation from a relationship with God. Satan’s Three-Point Sermon

Satan's Deception
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13)

We are warned not to be ignorant of the devil’s schemes and to guard ourselves against his deceptions. To overcome ignorance and prepare ourselves to resist the devil, we must understand Satan’s tactics. How does Satan mislead people away from God, away from Messiah, and towards a counterfeit messiah?
