Beware the Gospel of the Beatles: Thinking we’ve got a ticket to ride but we don’t care.
It’s a tragedy for the bride to walk out on the bridegroom; she ought to think twice and do right by him before she says a final goodbye. Sadly, many in the modern church are riding so high for no good reason. We’ve been sold on the idea that salvation is the destination, and once we have it we’ve arrived. We’ve been taught it’s all done, there is nothing more for us to do, and we can just wait to be raptured away to paradise. The modern religion emphasizes 100% sacrifice with 0% obedience, and this breeds complacency and indifference to sin.
Is living with God really bring us down? Is it a burden to walk in God’s ways and do what He requires?
